The Marjorie Mayrock Center for Russian, Euro-Asian and East-European Research
The Marjorie Mayrock Center for Russian, Euro-Asian and East-European Research was founded in 1969 to promote interdisciplinary and group research on Soviet and East European affairs. During the Soviet era, Mayrock Center research focused on an analysis and documentation of Soviet involvement in the Middle East. Other studies analyzed the structure of Soviet institutions and Soviet-Third World relations, and the status of Soviet “olim” in Israel.
In addition to initiating and coordinating group research projects, the Center provided facilities and conducted research projects for various governmental and academic institutions in Israel and abroad.
